As I get closer to the end of the millionth day this year that it has snowed…(possibly a slight exaggeration since this year has only been two months so far…and I guess there are never any years with a million days in it…but whatevs)…it makes me think of all the wonderful places that I’d love to be. California…Arizona…Florida…the sun… anywhere that doesn’t require four layers of clothing, a full length puffy coat, snow boots, a hat, and mittens. **sigh** It is really starting to make me angry. lol. As if that will change anything.
Waking up this morning watching the the news warn about a snow advisory today bummed me out immensely. But one thing that DC does bring out even in the dead of winter, are the fashionistas. No matter how cold or gross the weather, you will find the amazing divas of DC rocking their perfectly styled snow boots, bold winter coats, and chic hat/scarf/glove combos. They never let you down. Seeing a woman running for the train in her herringbone coat and mustard patterned infinity scarf makes me stop thinking about how stinking cold I am, even if just briefly, and admire her doing the damn thing. In the cold. And snow.
Here are some fabulous winter styles from women of the District:
As much as I love spotting great winter fashions around town…spring is welcome to show up any second now… ANY. SECOND… In the meantime, I shall wait patiently.
Stay warm out there folks,
